Our organization worked for three years ensuring that an innovative clean energy initiative was developed, understood and enacted. Dubbed 'the Energy Overlay Zone' it allows wind developers to know where wind was welcome in windy Klickitat County and where the community clearly didn't want it. The result: for the first time in the U.S. history, wind companies have a streamlined process by which they can develop wind with full support of the community; and wind projects online and in line.
